Spitzkop Reserve is named after the imposing peak as part of the Swartberg Mountain range which overshadows the beautiful 2000 hectare reserve. It lies in the so called little Karoo near the quant town of De Rust.A perennial river flows through the reserve, mingling from time to time through rugged mountain ravines and large poplar groves.
