Spitzkop Reserve is named after the imposing peak as part of the Swartberg Mountain range which overshadows the beautiful 2000 hectare reserve. It lies in the so called little Karoo near the quant town of De Rust.A perennial river flows through the reserve, mingling from time to time through rugged mountain ravines and large poplar groves. Some of the most beautiful rock folds in the area combine to form narrow ravines boasting with crystal clear unpolluted waterfalls. The lee-wind side of the Swartberg Mountain is mostly Cape Fynbos where the Protea aristata occur, a very rare Protea. There is no infrastructure, except good perimeter fencing, a large earth dam and several smaller ones and the roads are in good repair. Water is obtained from several mountain springs and the river. There are no public roads through the reserve. Driving on the slopes and plateaus means that you are completely encased in nature throughout the drive. With this desolation there are 30 single title spot identified and marked as places to erect your own private home from home – not more than 175 sq metre in total. These plots are approved and also for sale at between R400,000.00 and R800,000.00 per 400 sg metre each. The reserves habitat can support a wide range of game like Giraffe and antelope like Bontebok. At present Eland, Springbuck, Zebra, Kudu and Black Wildebeest strive in that lush habitat.Form sale as is will all consents and sub-divisions included for development or just as your own private game and nature reserve at R13,500,000.00
